My role:
TJ’s Story: A Mission Born from Love and Loss

On July 20, 2022, my six-year-old grandson, TJ, drowned in an Olympic-size pool during a summer camp in Missouri. It was a preventable tragedy that became a national news story — and a criminal case.

In the days that followed, I created a website for my daughter — not just as a tribute to her son, but as a platform for advocacy, truth, and safety reform.

TJ's Story: Designed and developed a mission-driven website for a nonprofit advocating summer camp safety.

  1. Created a compelling brand identity to amplify awareness and drive action.
I partnered with TJs Story, a nonprofit organization in St. Louis dedicated to advocating for stricter summer camp safety regulations in memory of TJ, a beloved six-year-old. My goal was to create a compelling Squarespace website that honors TJ's legacy and inspires action toward safer summer camps for children.

Project Highlights:

  • Modern Website Design: Designed a visually engaging and heartfelt website to share TJ's story and mission effectively.

  • Advocacy and Education: Featured key initiatives and educational content to raise awareness about summer camp safety.

  • Donation Integration: Implemented a secure online donation feature to support the nonprofit's mission.

  • Community Engagement: Simplified navigation to encourage community members to get involved and spread the word.

Why This Project Stands Out:
This collaboration highlights my commitment to supporting nonprofits with digital tools that amplify their message and impact. By creating a platform that educates and inspires, I helped TJs Story further its mission to prevent tragedies and make summer camps safer for all children.
